The Tyler Woodward Project
From Broadcasts To Bits
A new name, a wider lens, and the same commitment to clarity. We’re evolving Fully Modulated into The Tyler Woodward Project to explore the systems behind everyday tech while keeping the broadcast spirit that started it all. The premiere drops January 5, and you don’t need to lift a finger—stay subscribed and your feed will update automatically.
We share why the show is shifting from a narrow focus on broadcasting to a broader mix of technology, culture, and science. Tyler reflects on growing up with a cassette recorder and a lifelong love of radio, then lays out where we’re headed next: demystifying routers and switches, explaining how packets travel, and turning alphabet soup into plain English. If you’ve ever wondered why your ISP underperforms, how DNS and DHCP really work, or what it takes to tune Wi‑Fi for real homes, you’ll find step‑by‑step insights and a practical mindset. We’ll also get candid about operating systems, from Linux love to honest tradeoffs across platforms, and how those choices shape privacy, productivity, and control.
This is for curious listeners who want both story and substance—people who enjoy learning how complex systems become simple when explained well. Expect accessible network tips, cultural context around standards and acronyms, and the kind of hands‑on advice you can apply the same day. Keep your subscription as is, watch for the updated artwork and name, and come along as we expand the conversation. If you’re ready for clear tech talk without the fluff, follow @tylerwoodward.me on Instagram, Bluesky, and Threads, share this relaunch with a friend, and leave a quick review to help more curious minds find us.

Hey, it's Tyler from the Tyler Woodward Project. Formerly Fully Modulated. And starting on January 5th, well, the new podcast is launching with a brand new episode. Now, if you uh haven't been seeing the social media post and the brand new website and the other updates I've been putting out, basically what's happening is Fully Modulated is morphing into a brand new podcast, name after me, because well, I can't think of a better name. And I wanted to expand on more things than just broadcasting. I've been doing broadcasting since oh well, I started getting involved in one way or another in 2005, and I've wanted to do radio since I was like five years old when I first got my uh very first AMFM cassette recorder radio dealy for my birthday. So, I mean, it's kind of been in my blood, so that part's not going away, but I want to talk about uh routers. I want to talk about switches, I want to talk about how much your ISP sucks. I want to talk about how the ones and zeros, the bits get from one thing to another. And I want to help you learn. Um, I want to teach you how to make your Wi-Fi better. I want to tell you what DNS is, DHCP, all these little uh tech acronyms. And but and trust me, we got a lot of acronyms and tech for some reason. I don't know. We like our acronyms, so we got a lot to discuss. We're gonna dive into all sorts of topics. We're gonna talk about uh operating systems, we're gonna talk about how Linux is superior. I use the Arch, by the way. Uh, we're gonna we're gonna dive into so many subjects and so many different things. Basically, what I can tell you is the new show will be tech-oriented, culture-oriented, and science-oriented. Those are the three main pillars of the brand uh new podcast. And one question I have r received is why didn't we just launch a brand new feed? Because think of it this way think of it as a natural progression, I guess. And uh, you know, I didn't want to fully just write off fully modulated, it's just that where I wanted to move the show wasn't um, you know, wasn't all broadcasting oriented. You know what I mean? So I thought, you know, what better way than just to naturally progress the show and do it this way. So if you want to keep listening, stay subscribed right where you're at. The artwork, the name, everything will update automatically for you. You don't have to do anything. The only thing you might have to do is if you do want to follow me on social media, you'll have to hit up at Tylerwoodward.me on Instagram, Blue Sky, and Threads. That's the only changes you gotta make. Otherwise, I'll see you on January 5th.
